Julia Gearhart
Art Cataloguer and Support Specialist, Department of Art and Archaeology, Princeton University
Julia Gearhart has been working in Visual Resources in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University since November of 2014. Prior to this she received an MLIS from the Syracuse University School of Information Studies, an MA from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and a BA from Vassar College. She is interested in how new technologies may enhance engagement with art history – within the classroom and beyond. She is also interested in exploring how computational analysis of visual works and their accompanying data illuminates new questions in art and historical scholarship. She was recently made Curator of Image and Historic Collections held by the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton.
